Learn What SCR Can offer you

Why You Should Join

SCR members gain access to networking and educational opportunities that keep them informed in a constantly changing market. Membership is open to REALTORS® who spend a substantial amount of time engaged in sales, leases, exchanges, appraisals, management, consultations or other professional activities related to commercial or investment properties.
Education
Offering commercial MCE classes, designation courses, and technology and industry updates, SCR is on the forefront of providing its members the tools needed to stay competitive within the ever-changing field of commercial real estate.

With opportunities available to serve on committees and on the Board of Governors, SCR provides its members a means to develop their leadership and professional skills. In addition, awards of merit are given to those members who exemplify these skills. GFWAR also offers professional development opportunities to prepare members for leadership not only on the local level, but on the state and national levels as well.
Governmental Affairs
Monitoring issues that affect commercial real estate on the local, state and national levels, SCR lobbies for positive legislation and works to defend its members from legislation that might have negative effects on the commercial real estate industry.
Exposure
SCR offers commercial practitioners a broad range of opportunities to market properties at its breakfast meetings and marketing sessions.
Networking
SCR is one of the few organizations in Tarrant County where commercial real estate professionals can network specifically with other commercial practitioners, opening doors to deal-making opportunities. Events including happy hours, an annual golf tournament, and more offer regular opportunities to connect.
REALTOR® Name
Because SCR is under the umbrella of GFWAR, its members adhere to the ethical and professional standards that all REALTOR® members follow. Therefore, the REALTOR® name gives credibility and accountability to all SCR members.
Professional Standards
Since all REALTORS® must adhere to the NAR Code of Ethics, it's the duty of GFWAR to educate its members regarding this ethical code and administer a course of action to those who do not comply. SCR falls under this standard, keeping a little "law and order" among practitioners.
Discounts
SCR members receive admission to monthly breakfast meetings, installations and various other events at a reduced fee. In addition, SCR offers price reductions for SCR sponsored classes and merchandise from the REALTOR® store.
