Formed in the early 1980s, the Society of Commercial REALTORS® (SCR)
is the commercial REALTOR® organization that operates
independently and under the auspices of the Greater Fort Worth
Association of REALTORS®. Created specifically for the
commercial real estate practitioner, SCR offers the strength and
backing of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), but also
the exclusive focus on commercial real estate.
SCR has its own governing body and bylaws, and its chief mission
is to advance knowledge, education and integrity in the fields
of commercial real estate. Made up of approximately 200 members,
SCR offers educational opportunities, networking events and
marketing platforms in which to exchange information about
properties.
The SCR governing board consists of four officers and no more
than seven governors. These Board members are selected by a
nominating committee based on experience in commercial real
estate and involvement in SCR.
